The more I think about that cop study
(where they showed police could make about 75 % of peple admit to some crime they didnät commit in 3-4 hours if they were questioned alone).... The more relevant it seems.
A lot of my parents (who are also involved in the psych system) way of doing things is very cop like. Trying to get me to talk to them alone, making sure I talk to both of them at once and teaming up, one of them often even is harsher while the other is nicer and more 'understanding'. Pressuring me to do things very fast and to give them information very fast. Without giving enough time to decide if I want to. Or whats accurate.
And then gt angrz at me for not giving them accurate info.
It makes me feel a little better about 'lying' to them and saying things that are innnacurate and doing things that are bad for me when they're around. It's hard to do elsewise.
And it makes me feel a lot better about being so badly affected by just word.
